Outside Pop-up

We partnered with the Residency Road location of CoWrks to host an outdoor popup for their Foundry event back in February. It was our very first outdoor popup setup, presenting us with a host of challenges. Not all of our conventional food options would work in such an arrangement. So, we had to come up with something that was curated specifically for the event and also something that works with the crowd, given that people would visit the pop-ups for lunch in the afternoon as well as for snacks in the evening. Now this might seem like a serious challenge to most food providers but not to us, because this is exactly what we do best! We thrive in situations where we are looking at customizing based on the requirements that our clients might have in mind.

Our initial discussions with the event management team and our partners resulted in two of the most reputed brands being on-boarded for executing the event - @The Fry Shack and @The Bowl Company. Since it was to be arranged in an outdoor setting, we conveyed to them that their own mobile kiosks, or food trucks, needed to be set up. We also helped them design menus that had a variety of items like crinkle cut fries, cheese melt sandwiches, the good ol’ manchurian and noodles along with a range of rice items with mouth-watering combinations like the Peri Peri Chicken with Egg Corn Rice, Spicy Chicken Fried Rice, Murgh Makhani Biryani and the all-time favourite Rajma Chawal.

On the day of the event, we had a traction of about 400 people, which was more than what we had anticipated. But with our experience, we already had a plan in place for replenishing the items if they were to run out. All the food options that were showcased were a hit with the crowd and we had to order multiple replenishments for a large chunk of items like Rajma Chawal, Manchurian and Noodles and Murgh Makhani Biryani. We received some great feedback regarding the wholesome food options along with people also loving the variety of fries offered by The Fry Shack - especially their Signature Secret and Hot-As-Hell variants - with many coming back for seconds.

With such great feedback and experience under our belt, CoWrks is now one of our several regular clients and customers. You now know who to call when it comes to outdoor events too ;)
